Team Collaboration
Use Case: A Product Kickoff Across Time Zones
Separate background reading, targeted input, disagreement, and conclusions so everyone can take part.

Situation
Eight team members in Shanghai, Berlin, and Toronto are starting a new invitation flow. Two hour meetings force some to attend late at night, with material arriving just before the call.
Workflow in Slatepath
The product lead creates a Decision Brief from Feature Kickoff three days ahead, describing goals, constraints, known user problems, and two possible scopes. Design reviews interaction risks, engineering identifies dependencies, and support adds recent customer excerpts.
After input closes, unresolved disagreements are summarized. A thirty minute meeting addresses two real conflicts. The owner then records the decision, excluded scope, and signals to review a week after launch.
Result
Members read and respond during their own working hours. Live time focuses on disagreement, and absent colleagues can follow how the conclusion formed.
